If I had to choose a favorite scent, it'd be lavender. I've tried many lavender essential oils; in diffusers, added to carrier oils and lotions, diluted as a linen spray, etc. This scent of this ample 4oz bottle of Tratak Organics Lavender essential oil was actually a bit unpleasant, to me, when first opened. The lavender was there, but also a rather sharp, cloying, undertone. Hard to explain. I've tried it in all ways mentioned. There's just something a bit "off", to my nose. I don't find ingredients listed; perhaps there's something included with lavender. EDIT: It's unseasonably warm in my area. This sat in a hot car for several hours before opening. I didn't think that would affect it, as I typically use a warm mist diffuser for my oils. However, research has taught me that essential oils, especially lavender, can quickly degrade in high temps. I suspect that happened to this supply. That's not the "fault" of Tratak Organics, but storage tips, and ingredients, on the label or carton would have been helpful. A mid-range 3 star rating seems appropriate. When in good condition, hopefully the scent is as appealing as I find most lavender oils to be.
